Children's driver charged with drink-driving

A Sydney bus driver who was taking a group of school children to the NSW snowfields is due to appear in Goulburn Local Court next month after being charged with drink-driving.
Police allege that during the journey from Campbelltown, the three teachers and 45 students became concerned about the way the bus was being driven.
Teachers contacted police about 5:00pm AEST when the bus stopped at Marulen, north of Goulburn.
Highway patrol officers took the 54-year-old driver to the Goulburn police station where it is alleged he was later found to have a blood alcohol reading of 0.175.
The man was granted bail and is expected to appear in court on September 7.
A replacement driver continued the journey to the snowfields.
