Florida, Texas, Washington and California are ahead of their time when it comes to promoting and educating residents on driving defensively. In these states residents are afforded insurance premium discounts for participating in approved classes, both online or in the classroom. Additionally, these states require certain courses to remove points and/or avoid fines for traffic violations. I applaud these proactive states. Does anyone know how their accident statistics compare to other states?
